Keramik Laufen wins “2010 Award for Marketing + Architecture”
The LAUFEN Forum exhibition and visitor centre, completed in 2009 by architects, Nissen&Wentzlaff, impressed the judges of this year’s Award for Marketing + Architecture. LAUFEN Forum won the prize in the “Office and business premises, industrial and commercial buildings” category.
On Friday, 23 April 2010 the 2nd Marketing + Architecture award ceremony was held in the Lucerne Culture and Conference Centre (KKL). Of the 85 projects submitted, 26 were nominated, five of which were in category A “Office and business premises, industrial and commercial buildings”.
The Award for Marketing + Architecture acknowledges people and companies who, in exemplary fashion, have planned and built properties in Switzerland based on the principles of high quality corporate architecture (CA). Properties which clearly reflect the corporate philosophy, brand and market presentation, help create positive public awareness. As organiser Baukoma explains, the identity architecture creates is unique and generates a lasting competitive edge. And last but not least, creative buildings and spaces with a high degree of authenticity inspire not only employees, but customers and business associates as well. As a result, the criteria used to assess the properties submitted not only include technical, but also emotional elements. According to the judges, a good project sets itself apart when the building clearly reflects the context and its architecture embraces corporate identity. Therefore, the quality of the experience, material, colour and light concepts and the form of the building itself convey the marketing message as a link to the brand and company’s activities. And finally, the uniqueness of a property, paired with innovative content, subtly conveys the company’s image and market values. Completed in 2009, the LAUFEN Forum fully satisfies these criteria and suitably impressed the judges.
